Crafting personal and meaningful experiences since 2021
I’m Achille, a Paris‑born photographer who turned a lifelong fascination with history, art and storytelling into a full‑time job. I hold two master’s degrees—one in History (specialising in Japanese history) and another in Art Theory—so I can move fluidly between the big‑picture narratives of empires and the minute details of a brushstroke.
My life has been a series of cultural hops: childhood in Cape Town, formative years in Tokyo, creative stints in New York, and countless weeks living in Italy’s art‑rich towns. Those moves taught me how to read a city through its language, its food, its rhythms, and, most importantly, its people. Paris is my anchor, but my perspective is anything but insular.
Before I started guiding, I spent years behind the camera—shooting documentaries, editing short‑form pieces, and producing visual essays that break down complex ideas for a broad audience. That work sharpened two habits I bring to every tour: precision (I know how to locate the exact detail that makes a story click) and accessibility (I can translate scholarly research into a conversation you can actually follow).
I also taught high‑school and university students privately, turning dense curricula into bite‑size, memorable lessons. Whether I’m explaining the symbolism of a Baroque altar or the economics behind a 19th‑century market, I aim to make the material feel relevant, not rehearsed.
